Car wrap shops create vinyl with designs printed on them, and apply them to the vehicle body by first placing it adhesive side down, then use a squeegee to push down so the vinyl is flat and smooth with no air bubbles, and then use a heat gun to find further air bubbles and push them out also. Once you are sure the vinyl is properly placed without any trapped air, you can cut away the extra vinyl wrap. Finally, “post heat” the surface to check for warning signs of failure, and fix those imperfections, and finish by cleaning it with some alcohol.
